Leasing Agent

As a Leasing Agent, you will be required, but not limited, to oversee all aspects of leasing for the communities of Doorpost Management and will be responsible for the implementation of marketing and leasing initiatives, strategies that promote the optimum leasing performance of the property.

Duties of a Leasing Agent:
  • Showing off rentable properties to prospective residents
  • Conducting administrative tasks like credit and background checks
  • Informing prospective residents of results
  • Communicating prices and terms to clients
  • Inspecting properties when residents take occupation and vacate (Move-In and Move-Out Sheet)
  • Examining properties and informing maintenance staff of issues or work that still needs to be done in a vacant unit before moving in.
  • Following up with residents post move-in to ensure optimal resident satisfaction.

All positions must have:

  • A valid driver’s license, proper automobile liability insurance, and dependable transportation.
  • Drug test and background check required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge of office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • More duties and expectations to be discussed in the interview process.

Assistant Property Manager

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be required, but not limited, to assist with all aspects of management of the community, tenant recruitment and retention, compliance, financial, and overall performance of the property.

  • Communication skill, team minded, and willingness to assist the Property Manager in all areas of their job.
  • Assist with maintaining property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies, negotiating and enforcing leases, and maintaining and securing premises.
  • Assist with attracting tenants by advertising vacancies, obtaining referrals from current tenants, explaining advantages of location and services, and showing units.
  • Assist with contracts with tenants by negotiating leases and collecting security deposits.
  • Assist with accomplishing financial objectives by collecting rents, paying bills, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
  • Assists with maintaining property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units and completing repairs.
  • Assists with securing the property by establishing and enforcing precautionary policies and procedures and responding to emergencies.
  • Ability to conduct yourself, both at work and off duty, in a manner that does not adversely affect the image of the community.
